What Is A Nurse Practitioner?

Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are highly skilled and qualified healthcare professionals who have completed advanced training and hold a Master’s degree in nursing. They possess the expertise and knowledge to diagnose and treat individuals of all ages for various acute or chronic medical conditions.

With their comprehensive understanding of healthcare, NPs work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers to provide holistic patient care, including disease prevention, health promotion, and management of chronic illnesses.

Nurse practitioners (NPs) are qualified to provide advanced nursing care, which includes diagnosing and assessing patients’ health, prescribing medications and therapies, and referring them to other health professionals or specialist medical practitioners.

Lucia Ferguson

Integrated Nurse Practitioner

Lucia Ferguson is a Master’s-educated Nurse Practitioner with decades of clinical experience and over 15 years of endorsed practice, offering a sophisticated and deeply personalised approach to women’s health.

Her work sits at the intersection of advanced medical care and refined, holistic medicine — designed for women who seek more than answers, but true understanding of their bodies.

Lucia is known for her calm, intuitive presence and her ability to create a space where women feel genuinely heard, held, and supported. She offers what many patients describe as a “soft landing” — a place to unravel complex symptoms with clarity, discretion, and care.

With a special focus on hormonal health, Lucia is passionate about guiding women back to vitality through every life stage — from adolescence to perimenopause and menopause. She works with nuance and precision to support hormonal imbalances, thyroid dysfunction, gut health concerns, and the often-overlooked drivers of fatigue, mood changes, and weight shifts.

Her extensive background in mental health care informs a deeply integrative approach, recognising that true healing requires attention to both the physiology and the emotional landscape of each individual.

As an endorsed Nurse Practitioner, Lucia is qualified to diagnose, prescribe, and coordinate care, while also incorporating advanced and functional testing where appropriate. Every treatment plan is tailored, evidence-based, and thoughtfully curated to the individual.

This is medicine redefined — where clinical excellence meets quiet luxury, and care is delivered with intention, depth, and respect.

Lucia consults privately via telehealth and in person in Western Australia.
