The health of our clients, our team and the community are first and foremost of our focus. With the recent escalation of COVID-19 we wanted to update everyone on the impacts to all clients and the practice and what we are doing to minimize the risk of exposure.
As a clinic we have decided to remain operational at this time, pending announcements to the contrary, and we are allowing each practitioner to make their own decision regarding their availabilities going forward.
What we are doing?
We are actively following the guidelines put forward by the Department of Health for “low-risk” health agencies, which include:
- Increased cleaning of frequently touched surfaces
- Ensuring soap and anti-bacterial wash are readily available for staff and patients alike
- Continuing to practise good hand-washing procedures
- New face paper and towels in between patients
- Wiping down of the treatment tables after each patient
- The use of sterilised rubber gloves and alcohol wipes
- Removal of magazines and toys from the practice
What can you do?
We request you follow the guidelines and recommendations set by the Department of Health and self-exclude if you have recently travelled or have been in contact with someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19. We also ask that you not attend the practice when you are unwell regardless of whether you think this may be COVID-19 or a cold or flu.
Please make sure you are practising excellent hygiene as hand washing and containment of bodily fluids continue to be the best defence against the spread of cold, flu’s and COVID-19.
While we have our cancellation policy, if you cancel outside of the 24 hour period or cancel due to sickness, there will be no fee charged. We do however, request you provide us with as much notice as possible as we want to offer other patients your appointment time if you can’t make it.
We will try our best to monitor the situation as new information comes through every day and keep everyone informed of any changes that may occur.
You will be happy to know that we are organising to have immune boosting packages made available for purchase within the next few days, keep an eye out in the next newsletter. There will also be information on how we can support people without direct face to face contact through web appointments via skype for naturopathy and coaching with our clinical hypnotherapist.
We thank you for your understanding in this evolving situation and continued support as we adapt to these challenging times together!
