Hills Natural Health Centre

Dr Simon Martin has over 20 years of experience in health, movement, and anatomy. Since first studying anatomy in 2003, he has worked across medical, occupational health, physiotherapy, regional, and wellness settings, and has taught anatomy at university level. His current focus is the integration of Chiropractic and Naturopathy, reflecting the original chiropractic philosophy of supporting the body’s natural capacity for balance and health.

Dr Martin’s approach follows an expanded model of care that views health as an interaction between three systems: the structural and nervous system (spine and body), the biochemical (gut, blood, hormones, and metabolism), and the emotional-somatic (tension, trauma, and stress). This whole-body perspective recognises that physical, biochemical, and emotional factors all contribute to wellbeing.

His Somatic-Chiropractic method combines gentle manual techniques with body-based awareness to address both structural and stress-related patterns. Treatment focuses on releasing tension through the spine, neck, back, and hips while supporting the nervous system’s ability to self-regulate. The aim is to restore mobility, reduce tension, and enhance overall functional integration.

Dr Martin also applies an integrative model of care, often working alongside naturopathic principles to support both physiological and emotional recovery. This approach allows for coordinated treatment of the mechanical and metabolic aspects of health.

In addition to clinical practice, Dr Martin provides education on somatic awareness, body-based safety, movement, and emotional regulation. He continues to develop practical frameworks for understanding the connection between the nervous system, stress, and adaptive health.

Dr Martin offers both standard chiropractic treatment for musculoskeletal conditions and structured Somatic-Chiropractic care aimed at restoring whole-body function and balance.
