A multidisciplinary approach to holistic health

Sports Massage

Sports massage therapy is a specialized form of bodywork designed to enhance athletic performance and support recovery. It involves a variety of techniques, including deep tissue manipulation, stretching, and trigger point therapy, tailored to the needs of active individuals and athletes.

The primary goals of sports massage are to reduce muscle tension, improve flexibility, prevent injuries, and accelerate the healing process. By targeting specific muscle groups and addressing areas of discomfort, sports massage helps maintain peak physical condition, promote faster recovery from exercise, and optimize overall performance.

Swedish Massage

Swedish (relaxation) massage is a widely recognized and versatile technique focused on relaxation and overall well-being. This approach uses long, flowing strokes, kneading, and circular movements to enhance circulation, reduce muscle tension, and promote deep relaxation. By targeting the superficial layers of muscle and improving blood flow, Swedish massage helps alleviate stress, ease muscle soreness, and improve flexibility.

Ideal for those seeking a gentle yet effective massage, Swedish therapy provides a holistic experience that supports physical health and mental tranquility. Allow yourself to fully unwind as your therapist applies gentle pressure to your muscles, melting away any stress or discomfort.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage therapy is designed specifically to address the unique needs of expectant mothers. This gentle, soothing approach helps alleviate common discomforts associated with pregnancy, such as lower back pain, leg cramps, and swollen ankles. Utilizing modified techniques to ensure safety and comfort, pregnancy massage promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and enhances overall well-being. It also supports better sleep and improves circulation, benefiting both the mother and her developing baby. With a focus on creating a nurturing and supportive experience, pregnancy massage helps mothers-to-be navigate their journey with greater ease and comfort.

Pregnancy massage is available from the second trimester onwards.  It can be performed with a belly pillow to allow for comfortable lying on the stomach or side lying.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Remedial Massage

MLD is a gentle, non-invasive manual technique to assist your lymph fleow and aid in drainage of tissues (“detox”).  It also has a very powerful relaxing and calming effect on the nervous system.  MLD not only helps alleviate swelling but also enhance immune function. MLD may help treat other health conditions such as Rheumatoid arthritis, Chronic venous insufficiency, Fibromyalgia, Lipoedema, Fatigue/Stress, Migraine, Chronic Sinus, Pre/Post-Surgery and Injury… etc

A method of non-invasive physical therapy developed to treat scar tissue, fibrosis and adhesions. It helps reduce common symptoms, such as pain and sensitivity and promote functional and cosmetic improvements after surgery or injury.

Lymphoedema Therapy (CDT)

Lymphoedema therapy, or Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), is a comprehensive treatment approach designed to manage and reduce the symptoms of lymphoedema. This therapy combines multiple techniques to address fluid buildup and promote optimal lymphatic function. CDT typically includes manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), compression therapy, skin care, and targeted exercise. By improving lymph flow, reducing swelling, and enhancing overall comfort, lymphoedema therapy helps patients manage their condition effectively and improve their quality of life. This tailored approach ensures personalized care to meet individual needs and support long-term wellness.

Lymphoedema is a chronic swelling of certain parts of the body caused by compromised lymphatic system either with genetic difficiency (primary) or damage to the lymphatic system such as surgery, radiation therapy or trauma (secondary).

RESTORE Scar Therapy

The RESTORE Scar Therapy Method

A method of non-invasive physical therapy developed to treat scar tissue, fibrosis and adhesions.  Using specialist scar massage and fascial release, therapy tools and self-care advice to promote healthy recovery.

Scar tissue is less functional

As your body heals after an injury, scar tissue forms. Scar tissue is fibrotic and less mobile than pre-injury. Adhesions may form, sticking together layers under the skin.

How can scar therapy help?

Stimulate change to scar tissue on the skin surface and to adhesions or fibrosis in the underlying tissue.

Reduce common symptoms, such as pain and sensitivity.

Promote functional and cosmetic improvements after surgery or injury creates scar tissue.

Will my scar vanish?

No, we can’t make your scar tissue disappear. Results vary, and early treatment is recommended for best cosmetic improvements. It’s never too late and old scars can benefit as well.

Gentle treatment with great results

The RESTORE method has been developed by the UK’s leading scar therapy teacher and Harley Street scar specialist, Emma Holly. RESTORE scar therapy method is used within the NHS and leading private healthcare providers. A course of treatment is usually recommended, but a single session and self-care advice for you to follow at home can be helpful.
